Luka Traven

Luka Traven holds an engineering degree in Biology (Ecology) from the University of Zagreb and a Master of Science in Environmental Science from Lund University, Sweden. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Rijeka, where he is now a full professor of Environmental Science and Waste Management. He has extensive academic and professional experience in environmental science, has published and reviewed papers in leading journals in the field, and has supervised numerous graduate and doctoral theses. Professor Traven has led national and international research projects and served as Chairman of the Management Board of Ekoplus Ltd., which operates Croatia’s largest mechanical-biological waste treatment facility.
